Filing the Initial Claim for the PUA in Pennsylvania is a very simple process.

Information Needed
Acceptable documentation of wages may include, but is not limited to
- 2019 tax returns;
- Your 2019 1099 form(s);
- Paycheck stubs;
- Bank receipts;
- Accounting books;
- Contracts;
- Invoices; and/or
- …the account statements.
There is no need for a Personal Identification Number (PIN) with the PUA system, you will only enter with the username and password you create.
You will not receive any confirmation emails after you have submitted your initial PUA claim. In the PUA panel within the system, you will be able to view the status of your claim.
Through the PUA control panel you will be able to manage everything. In this panel you will be able to check the status of the claim, upload documents, see the information and status of your payment, etc.
Registration for an Initial Claim PUA
To register for an initial PUA claim in Pennsylvania, the first thing to do is to go to this website: https://pua.benefits.uc.pa.gov/vosnet/Default.aspx
Inside this web, which is the official one, you click on “File a PUA Claim”.
A welcome page from the PUA is displayed, with a list of what is covered by the program and what is not covered. Click “Next” to continue.
Eligibility
The Pandemic Unemployment Assistance Claims Process Wizard starts with the eligibility page.
- Enter your social security number and re-enter it to confirm.
- In the eligibility question section, indicate Yes or No for each question. Answers to many questions will cause other questions to be displayed as needed.
Note: Each state may have different eligibility questions required to be answered.
- Click Next to continue with the registration form. Your eligibility to register will be confirmed with a
- Check mark in the green eligibility circle on the wizard progress bar at the top of the page

By doing all this, you already complete your registration and initial submission of the PUA claim. Your claim will be reviewed to determine your eligibility, and you will receive a written notice in the mail with important information about the status of your claim.
