Responding to Information Requests in the Claimant Center
In this example, we will demonstrate the process of responding to information requests within the Claimant Center. Please note that all claimant data used in this demonstration is fictitious.
From our current view of the Claimant Center summary screen, we can see that we have an incomplete request for information. We can recognize this because of the respond by date displayed on the request for information panel, which is colored in a striking red. To complete it, we will do the following
- When we’re ready, we will click the “Respond to Information Request” link. Before proceeding, we must certify that all information we provide is delivered honestly and in good faith by checking the box displayed.
Next, we will verify that the information displayed below is correct. In this case, our separation reason is “laid off.” Once everything is complete, we will click “Next.”
On the following screen, we will complete the request for information. Please note that these responses are for demonstration purposes only. After filling in the required information, we will click “Next.”
If needed, you can add an attachment on this screen. However, for this example, there are no attachments. Finally, we will click “Submit.”
A confirmation window will appear. Click “OK” to confirm, and that concludes the process for completing an information request on the Claimant Center.
