This tutorial demostration will serve as a general overview of how to activate your account. This process is used when a claimant has filed benefits in the past and has retained the PIN in their records.

Account Activation
Select the Account Activation icon:
From the Maryland Account Activation portal home screen, enter your Social Security Number and PIN.
Select the Login button.
On the User Registration Maintenance screen, enter a user name, then select the Validate button.
Enter the required password and security questions and answers. Note that you may not repeat security questions, and you may not reuse security answers.
Record the User ID for reference, then select the Log in button.
On the Claimant Account Login screen, enter the Username and Password.
Select the Login button.
You are now logged in to your BEACON One-Stop Claimant Portal. This task is now complete.
Activating your account when your PIN is unknown
This will be an overview of activating your account when your PIN is unknown. This task is used when a claimant has filed for unemployment benefits in the past but does not have acces to the assigned PIN. Select the Account Activation icon.
From the Maryland Account Activation portal home screen, enter your Social Security Number and PIN. Select the “Don´t Have PIN or Forgot PIN” checkbox.
Select the Login button.
On the Forgot PIN Maintenance screen, answer the questions. The challenge question is dynamic. You may be asked one of three questions:
- What is your email?
- What is your ZIP code?
- What is your street number?
Then select the Save button.
Enter a Username, then select the Validate button. Enter your password, then select and answer security questions. Note that you may not repeat security questions, and you may not reuse security answers. Select the Save button.
Record the User ID for future reference, then select the Log in button.
On the Claimant Account Login screen, enter the Username and Password. Select the Login button.
You are now logged into your BEACON One-Stop Claimant Portal.
