Creating a username and password to access these features is an essential initial step. Additionally, submitting a response to an unemployment claim is a key feature offered by the portal. This detailed guide will provide step-by-step instructions to both create access credentials and effectively submit a response as an employer through the Colorado Unemployment portal. Whether you are new to the system or just need a refresher, this information will make the process seamless and hassle-free.

In this article, we will guide you on how to create a username and password as an employer to submit your employer response.

Create a Username and Password

To create a username and password, you will need the notice of complaint letter that you received in the mail or via email. Towards the end of the letter, you will find the web address for the online portal and your assigned employer ID number.

You can either type or copy and paste the web address to your browser. Once you reach the welcome screen, locate the “First-Time User” button on the right-hand side and click on it.

On the next page, enter your first name, last name, email, and the employer ID number provided in the notice of complaint. Then, click the “Sign Up” button.

A confirmation email will be sent to your email address. Check your inbox, including your spam folder, for this email. Open the email and click the first link to create your password. Make sure to save this email for future access to the online claim portal.

Create a strong password that is at least 8 characters long and includes at least one letter and one number.

Submitting an Employer Response

Once you are logged into the system, you can submit an employer response. Click on the “Employer Response Form” link located on the right-hand side of the screen.

In the “Enter Claim Number” field, type in the claim number you are submitting a response for. As you type, the claim number will appear in the drop-down box above. Make sure to select the correct claim number.

Verify your contact information and proceed through the employer response form to submit your response.
