In this article, we will guide you through the process of completing the unpaid hours section for any overtime hours worked.
To begin, you will navigate to the section labeled “Overtime Worked and Unpaid” and provide the necessary details regarding the overtime hours you worked.
First, click the “Overtime Entry” button on the right-hand side. A pop-up will appear, and you will either enter the ending work week or select it from the dropdown menu. This is the week in which you worked the overtime.
Next, enter your regular rate of pay, your overtime rate of pay, the total number of overtime hours worked in that week, and the amount you earned as overtime compensation. If you received any payment, enter it in the “Gross Amount Paid” section.
For example, in the work week ending on June 9th, 2018, a total of 10 overtime hours were worked. The regular rate of pay was $15 per hour, and the overtime rate of pay was $22.50 per hour. The total overtime compensation earned by the employee in that week was $225.
Once you have entered all the necessary information, click the “Save” button. You will now see the entry populated on the screen.
To include entries for all the work weeks in which you worked overtime and were not paid, you will need to repeat these steps.
Lastly, if you know what the employer’s established work week is, please select it from the dropdown menu.
Once you have completed all the necessary entries, you can choose to either save and exit or proceed to the next step in the complaint process by clicking “Next.”
