In this tutorial you will learn about a guide for Reemployment Assistance options for payment.

Payments for Florida Reemployment Assistance can be made through a direct deposit to your bank account or throurgh a prepaid debit card.

You´ll be asked to choouse your payment method during the claim filing process. You will also have the options to change your preferred payment method once you are logged into connect. The quickest and most efficient way to receive your benefit payment si by direct deposit into your bank account.

Edit Payment Method in Your Connect Account

Let´s walk through the steps to edit your payment method in your Connect Account. First go to FloridaJobs.org; scroll down to the Reemployment Assistance section on the homepage and select “Claimants with an existing CONNECT Account”.

This will bring you to the homepage of connect. Read the claimant warning notice and select “I acknowledge I have read the above”. This bring yout to the login page of connect. Enter your social security number or claimant ID number and PIN to acccess your account.

Claimant Information

After you are logged in, you´ll be brought to your home screen. Click the “View and Maintain Account Information” tab on the left hand side of the page.

Click the “Payment Method and Withholding Options” link.

Here you can edit or verify your banking information before submitting.

The quickest and most efficient way to receive your benefit payments is by direct deposit into your bank account.

Here you can click “Direct Deposit” under manage payment options and select from “Checking”, “Savings” or “Prepaid Debit Card” for your Reemployment Assistance benefit payment.

If you choose checking or savings, you will need to provide the routing transmit number associates with your bank account and then verify your bank´s name. Once you verify your bank´s routing number, you can then enter your bank account number.

You will need to enter your bank account number twice and make sure they match before finalizing the change.

Then click submit. Please allow two to three business days to see these changes reflected in your Connect account and reemployment assistance payments. Payments will continue to process bi-weekly and deposit directly into your bank account.

If you choose “Prepaid Debit Card”, this will allow your reemployment assistance payments to be deposited directly into a way to go prepaid debit card account in your name. Please allo 7 to 10 business days to receive your card.

Once your claim is established and determined payable and wait segoe account will be set up in yor name and a prepaid debit card will be sent to your mailing address.

Again this may take a minimum of 7 to 10 business days for your prepaid debit card to be delivered. This prepaid debit card will be issued by mail after the first payment on your claim is made via debit.

If you have previously been issued a debit card, it is valid for three years from the initial issue date. Your previous card will receive deposits from your current claim. If you have lost your previous debit card and/or have not received your debit card and it has been more than 10 business days after your first debit payment, please contact our card provider at:

  • International: 1-210-334-6615
  • (This includes Puerto Rico. This line is not toll-free).

Remember, in order to receive Reemployment Assistance benefits, you must claim your weeks or request your benefits every two weeks and connect to confirm that you are still unemployed but able and available for work should it be offered.
